Twilight fans are amusing

… when they try to intelligently come up with 100 reasons why Twilight is better than Harry Potter.

Honestly I don’t give a poop about which is better or not. I’m a fan of Harry Potter, always will, so excuse me if my opinions are a bit biased.

I’ve read Twilight, up to New Moon, and perhaps 1/36th of Eclispe or whatever the third book’s called, and honestly, I have read BETTER fanfictions of Final Fantasy 7 (yes I read fanfiction, now shut up) with better command of English and plot. Anyone who watches anime, reads manga, plays games COULD HAVE FRIGGING PREDICTED THE OUTCOME OF EACH AND EVERY TWILIGHT BOOK FROM A MILE AWAY.

I would throw my copy of Twilight, but it’s a gift from an online friend so I’m keeping it for memento’s sake, and referring to it when I need my daily ‘stupid quotes for the day’.

Really? There are sex scenes in Twilight? It’s more like Bella’s inner horny thoughts on how badly she wants to get it on with Edward. And when they finally done it, Stephenie Meyer only wrote how they both went to the beach, skipped the whole thing and suddenly they’re on the bed together the next morning. If that’s a sex scene you’re super-deprived. Go get laid, or at least read Sandra Brown books.

Reason Twilight is better: Because twilight has more emotion, and you can actually feel bellas pain and love.

This is funny, because from what I read, Bella never once described Edward’s inner self, it was always ‘his perfect voice’ or ‘perfect lips or eyes’ or ‘so breathtakingly beautiful’ therefore, I am purely convinced that her ‘love’ is based on external beauty. Ah, the wonders of media.

I think what made me dislike Twilight is not so much the book itself, but at how popular it is among ADULTS and OLDER WOMEN… seriously. I would have expected it to be popular with girls aged 14 and below, but wtf? Adult females? Please don’t embarrass yourselves. And don’t try to argue on how childish adult Harry Potter fans are reading the books, because at least the language is up to adult standard and generally for the children. I have honestly never come across what these Twilight fans claimed to be ‘big words’ in Harry Potter. Seriously, learn to read.

Up-lifting

From the looks of this blog, it doesn’t look like I have much of a life, because I rarely update on where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing away from the internets. I have a hell lot of photos i need to upload to my com. =.=

Anyway, been mario karting aggressively whenever there are ds-es to go around, been eating much cake because of the many birthday parties these past few weeks, dragging myself to the east for (forced) beauty purposes, and the overspending on dvds this year – yes, I have bought a total of 20 dvds this year. And best is I bought most of them after June.

I’m dying~

So I went to watch Up yesterday, and oh man how inspiring it was. I love the animation, love the colours, love the rendering, the lighting, the concept, the music, EVERYTHING. Oh and damn I WANT THAT ANIMATED SHORT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MOVIE. BRILLIANT. I would watch it again. I shall say no more. Just watch it. You will like it.

Fasting month is coming this sat. I’m so excited. I want to iftar with old friends, bake cookies, read the Quran more and terawih every night.

I’m quite motivated by the fact that my runnings have shown effect. Hope I can keep this up still!

And gah, Lis is leaving soon. I’m so gonna miss her! WHO WILL CONJURE UP STORIES WITH ME AND CRAZY CHARACTERS DAMMIT T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T

I honestly didn’t realise I was wearing red until I reached the MRT station, and saw dozens of FTs wearing our nation’s colours. Hm.

I don’t know. Equality? I sure don’t see that from the eyes of a commoner. Classic example would be Citizen and PRs.

6) Did you wave the flag or displayed it?

I didn’t even bother buying one. I did briefly consider, hanging up a poster of Chris Evans outside my window though.

7) Did you dedicated anything at all, no matter how small, for your country?

I’ll dedicate my vote when 2011 comes.
